About Lotus Retreat
Carrie Rossiter set up the Lotus Retreat 5 years ago. Initially housed in a small stone cottage in Great Coxwell, the Lotus has recently relocated to the centre of Faringdon to accommodate its growing team of therapists and teachers. The new Lotus Retreat enjoys an excellent location in the centre of town just 2 minutes walk from the nearest free parking in Southampton Street car park (see our "contact us" page for directions.)
Carrie’s aim is to provide a healing sanctuary where her clients can experience a variety of high quality holistic treatments and classes: somewhere where the space itself inspires a sense of deep inner-peace and nurturing. The Lotus Retreat is the headquarters of Lotus India Adventures and also houses a beautiful boutique selling a stunning range of crafts, arts, jewellery, clothes, shawls and singing bowls from Indian carefully sourced by Carrie and hari on their travels.
Carrie had been working for 15 years as a freelance holistic therapist (specialising in reflexology, Reiki and holistic massage) and was greatly inspired by the thought of working alongside other experienced therapists and creating a communal space for healing, yoga, meditation and holistic education.
The Lotus Retreat offers a wide spectrum of holistic treatments including pregnancy massage, Ayurvedic marma massage, lymphatic drainage massage, acupuncture, reflexology, sports massage, kinesiology, life coaching, councelling, crystal healing and reiki. The Lotus Retreat also runs meditation, pilates and Tai Chi classes, daily yoga classes (hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa flow and restorative) and workshops in dowsing, Reiki, meditation and personal development. The Lotus Retreat also offers courses in Reiki, Kinesiology and shamanic healing.
All therapists working at the Lotus retreat pride themselves on working holistically – treating the “whole” person, mind, body and soul, and always embracing the uniqueness of every person that steps through our door. If you are a therapist interested in joining the Lotus team, or simply looking for a beautiful space to rent for a workshop/event then please get in touch.
Carrie Rossiter is also a writer and singer and is the founder of Lotus India Adventures which run bespoke tours of India, including yoga and meditation tours.
